Andrew has been awarded an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Leeds
Leeds host AUGIS 2016
Professor Giles Toogood and Mr Andrew Smith organised and hosted the national Association of Upper GI Surgeons at The Armouries in Leeds for the 22 to the 23 September. There were over 400 delegates. On the 21 September they both hosted a national postgraduate training day for junior surgeons at St James's Hospital, Leeds

Giles has been awarded the prestigious title of Professor of Hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Leeds. This is in recognition of his continued excellence in research and education in his field.
