Outcomes of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy at the Yorkshire Gallstone Clinic are recorded.
We keep a prospective database of all our cases so that we can audit our results and patient satisfaction.
In summary:
- We have excellent patient satisfaction; including symptom relief, cosmetic appearance and importantly their experience in the peri-operative period. This has been assessed both at our standard post operative clinic review and also using telephone questionnaires for long term outcome.
- Our complication rate is very low – and is better than most other published series. Our conversion rate from laparoscopic to open surgery is 3%.
